If you recruit from the same type of participant across multiple studies, audience templates eliminate the need to reconfigure filters every time. Save your targeting criteria once—audience type, filters, study details, and order quantities—and apply them to any future order in your workspace with a single click.
Saved templates are available across all projects in your workspace, making it easy to maintain consistent recruitment criteria across your entire research program.

Save an audience as a template

There are two ways to create a template: from an audience you’ve already set up, or by building a new one specifically to save.
Use this path when you have a completed or in-progress order whose settings you want to reuse.
1

Go to Orders

Navigate to Recruit → Orders.
2

Open the overflow menu

Find the audience order you want to save and click the overflow menu on that row.
3

Save as template

Click Save as template.
4

Name and save

Enter a descriptive name for your template so you can identify it later, then click Save.

Manage your templates

To view or delete saved templates:
1

Go to Orders

Navigate to Recruit → Orders.
2

Open the overflow menu

Click the overflow menu on any audience order.
3

View templates

Click View templates to open a list of all templates in your workspace.
From the templates list you can:
  • See all templates you’ve created
  • Check when each template was originally saved
  • Delete any template you no longer need

Create an audience from a template

1

Start a new order

Navigate to Recruit → Orders and click Hire participants.
2

Select your recruitment source

Choose the panel provider you want to use for this order (e.g., User Interviews).
3

Click Create from template

Instead of configuring filters manually, click Create from template.
4

Select and apply

Choose the template you want to use and click Use template. Your audience settings—filters, study details, and order quantities—will be pre-populated automatically.
Templates are panel-specific. A template saved from a User Interviews order can only be applied to future User Interviews orders. Likewise, a Respondent.io template only works for Respondent.io orders. Make sure the recruitment source you select in Step 2 matches the source the template was originally created from.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Templates are saved at the workspace level, so every member of your workspace can see and use them when creating a new audience order.
Templates cannot be edited directly. To update a template, create a new audience with your revised settings, save it as a new template, and delete the outdated one from the View templates menu.
Deleting an order does not delete any templates that were saved from it. Templates persist independently in your workspace until you manually delete them.
