Before your guide goes live, take it for a test run as a participant. Previewing lets you experience the interview exactly as your participants will—catching flow issues, broken links, or misplaced media before any real responses come in. Once you’re satisfied, publishing pushes your guide live in one click.

Previewing Your Question Guide

1

Open the preview menu

In the top-right corner of the Question Guide view, click the three-dot menu beside the Publish button and select Preview.
2

Take the full interview

Go through the entire interview as if you were a participant. Answer every question, interact with any media, and follow all tasks to the end.
3

Check for these common issues

As you go, watch for the following:
  • Section and question order — Does the flow feel natural and conversational?
  • Media display — Does media appear on screen before the related task or question is read aloud?
  • External links — Do all links open correctly and go to the right destination?
  • Dynamic follow-ups — Is the AI moderator probing on the right questions at the right depth?
4

Return to the guide and revise

After completing the preview, go back to the Question Guide tab and make any changes. Repeat the preview as many times as needed until the interview feels polished.
Ask a colleague to take the preview independently. A fresh pair of eyes will often catch issues—like confusing task wording or a broken prototype link—that you might overlook after working closely with the guide.

Publishing Your Question Guide

1

Click Publish

When your guide is ready, click the Publish button in the top-right corner of the Question Guide view.
2

Confirm the publish

Strella pushes all of your changes to the live interview link. Any participants who access the link from this point forward will see the updated version of the guide.
3

Copy the interview link

After publishing, Strella displays the shareable interview link. Copy this link to share with self-recruited participants via email, messaging, or your own recruitment channel.
Every time you click Publish, your latest changes go live immediately. If you need to make post-launch edits, update the guide and publish again—the link stays the same.
If you are recruiting your own participants rather than using Strella’s panel, the published link is the URL to include in your outreach emails or screening forms.
